Episode 55: Culinary Adventures in Southern Italy with Nadia Fragnito

Welcome to Episode #55:

If you are in the mood to be transported to the dreamy world of Southern Italy look no further than Nadia’s, ‘A Vegan Summer in Southern Italy: Recipes and Culinary Adventures’. I love this book for not only its visual beauty but its recipes based on plant based cooking and the traditions of Southern Italy. Food is more than the sum of its parts, it is culture, tradition, place, flavour and that connection between family and home.

Nadia Fragnito was born in South Australia to an Australian mother and Italian father but now lives in Melbourne. Her passion for Italian food and vegan cooking inspired her to create The Vegan Italian Kitchen and publish her first cookbook on classic Italian recipes, Discovering Vegan Italian. She is a recipe creator, writer and presenter and has appeared on SBS The Chefs' Line and is a regular guest on Channel 10s Freshly Picked with Simon Toohey. Her articles and recipes have been published in magazines such as Nourish, PlantBased and Vegan Life. After several 'culinary research trips' to Italy, Nadia's enthusiasm for the regional cuisine was sparked. This cookbook is her love letter to the flavours, the places, the people and the plant-based recipes of Southern Italy.
