Venetian Spritz - My Way!

I love this beverage. Refreshing, invigorating, intoxicating…. All the good things from a happy concoction of Prosecco, Aperol and a Piece of Orange Peel.. And since it is early spring here the oranges are still wonderful. Fresh juice in the morning, orange peel tossed in a cocktail in the afternoon for a Friday Aperitivo. Perfect for a little weekend prelude. And while you are there read a poem or two it wouldn’t hurt.

Ingredients:

Prosecco, or Sparkling White Wine

Aperol, there is only one it comes from Padua, Italy - buy it

Orange peel, a lovingly generous piece for your drink, it does make a difference

Green Olive / Optional, but better if you do

Method: My Way

Find a glass, a beautiful cut crystal or just one you don’t generally use day to day…

Pour 1/3rd Aperol in the bottom of Glass

Pour 2/3rd Prosecco

Add Orange Peel

Ice to keep it nice and cold….

Lastly, Sip, Enjoy and toss in a green olive, that will make it extra fine.
