Episode 76: In Sardinia - An Unexpected Journey in Italy with Jeff Biggers
Welcome to Episode #76:
Today, I have a great conversation with Jeff Biggers Historian, Journalist, Author and Travel Writer about his new book: In Sardinia An Unexpected Journey In Italy. Jeff Biggers has lived and traveled in Italy for the last 30 years and thought he was on his way to Sicily with his family for a sabbatical, after an eunepected moment on holiday in Sardinia He soon made Alghero his home and this book In Sardinia is the outcome of his time there.
This is a rich and expensive conversation that not only excavates the convoluted history of Sardinia and the culture, but illuminates a part of Italy that many are yet to discover…..Biggers excavates stone by stone, poet by poet and layer by layer and gives us fresh perspective on the island and the Sardinian culture, and what’s more he is a wonderful storyteller.
